Lifeguard Training Sessions

Yates Field House is hosting multiple American Red Cross lifeguard training sessions in the Spring of 2010. This class teaches lifeguard candidates the skills and knowledge needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies at an aquatic facility. Upon successful completion of the course, each student will receive Lifeguard Training, First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer. IM Soccer Available NOW

Registration for the Spring 2010 edition of IM 7-on-7 Soccer is now open.  The IM Office will accept team entries until the deadline on Thursday, Februay 11.  The event will officially begin in several weeks towards the end of February.  All registration entries must be submitted online.  For more information, visit the Intramural Sports webpage.

On the evening of Saturday, November 21st, the Yates Field House celebrated the 30th Anniversary of its opening with semi-formal event at the field house. The event, attended by nearly 200 Yates staff, members, and university staff, featured performances by the university jazz ensemble and the Chimes a cappella ensemble. The program also included speeches from Todd Olson, the Vice-President for Student Affairs, as well as Jim Gilroy and Dennis Kanach, the current and previous directors of the field house, respectively.
