Divisions of Competition
All regular divisions consist of both men’s, women’s, and coed divisions. Resident Assistants may participate with their dorm floor and with an Undergraduate or Open League team.
• The Freshman League is open to 1st year students who reside in the dorms. Dorm students and Resident Assistants participating in this division must play with their dorm floor. Dorm students have the option of playing in the Undergraduate League or Open League instead of the Freshman League. Students may not participate in BOTH the Open and Freshman leagues.
• The Men’s League is open to all Georgetown Undergraduates.
• The Women’s League is open to all Georgetown Undergraduates.
• The Grad/Fac/Staff League is open to graduate students, faculty members, staff, and members of Yates Field House.
• The Coed League is open to all Yates members. In some events, Coed leagues will be separated by Graduate students and Undergraduates.
For certain events, divisions of highly competitive play, “A”, and competitive play, “B”, will be established. Captains must choose a league for competition. The Intramural Office reserves the right to move teams into different divisions in cases of “sandbagging” and similar misrepresentation.
Participants may play for two teams in a sport’s season provided one of the teams is in the Coed League.
