About Yates

The Yates Memorial Field House was opened in the fall of 1979 and named in honor of Gerard F. Yates, S.J.  The Field House is a modern architectural wonder of inverted hyperbolic concrete shells that support Kehoe Field, an all-weather Astroturf field on the roof of Yates, that is home to intramural, club sport, recreational and intercollegiate activity.  Inside Yates are 142,300 square feet of recreational space.

All full-time students are automatically Yates members.  Part-time students, and student spouses and children my also pay the appropriate fee to join the facility.

Yates also offers membership packages to Georgetown faculty, staff, and alumni, as well as community memberships to those outside the University community.
