**As noted on the Spring 2009 Group Fitness schedule there will be no classes held in the Dance and Exercise room on Saturday, November 7 & Sunday, November 8, 2009 due to an instructor training**
**As noted on the Spring 2009 Group Fitness schedule there will be no Spinning classes held Saturday, November 14 & Sunday, November 15 due to an instructor training.**
Participation in Group Fitness Classes at Yates Field House requires a Class Card and valid ID. During business hours, class cards must be purchased in the Main Office of Yates Field House. After hours, single class cards are available for purchase at the Front Entry Kiosk via a Building Manager on Duty. If you would like to "upgrade" your single class pass, simply have the instructor punch your pass and take it to the Main Office during business hours for a credit towards a larger pass.

*Non-member Guests may take class only if they are accompanied by a Yates student member/member. The one class fee is $10, in addition to the YFH $10 Guest Fee for entrance to the facility.

All classes are drop-in. A variety of classes are held weekly in either the Dance/Exercise Room (DER) or the Multi-Purpose Room (MPR). Fitness class offerings range from indoor group cycling, cardio kickboxing, step aerobics, and body sculpting to core conditioning, yoga, and mat pilates. Classes are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please note that there are no group fitness classes on university holidays.
Group Fitness Can Travel! Off-site group fitness classes are offered at the Riverside Dance Studio on the Main Campus. Fee-based classes are open to both Yates Members and Non-Members. Please visit the GU Wellness homepage for complete details.

Would you like to teach group fitness at Georgetown University? Instructors are hired after completing the Group Fitness Instructors Training (GFIT) offered each Fall at Yates Field House.
