Group fitness classes are included in Yates Field House fees/membership. All classes are drop-in. A variety of classes are held weekly in either the Dance/Exercise Room (DER) or the Multi-Purpose Room (MPR). Fitness class offerings range from indoor group cycling, cardio kickboxing, step aerobics, and body sculpting to core conditioning, yoga, and mat pilates. Classes are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please note that there are no group fitness classes on university holidays.
Group Fitness Can Travel! Off-site group fitness classes are offered at the Harris Building on Wisconsin Avenue and at the Riverside Dance Studio on the Main Campus. Fee-based classes are open to both Yates Members and Non-Members. Please visit the GU Wellness homepage for complete details.

Would you like to teach group fitness at Georgetown University? Instructors are hired after completing the Group Fitness Instructors Training (GFIT) offered each Fall at Yates Field House.
