Masala Bhangra Workout Master Class

Friday, November 6, 2009 7:00- 9:00pm Yates Field House Dance and Exercise room.

The Masala Bhangra Workout® is an exercise dance routine that modernizes the high-energy folk dance of Bhangra by blending traditional Bhangra dance steps and the exhilaration of Bollywood (Hindi film) moves, seen recently in the Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire! This unique dance mixes cardiovascular with fun, and is suitable for participants of all ages and fitness levels. It is a certified fitness program up backed up by the fitness boards, and devised by Sarina Jain, the "Jane Fonda of India."

Cost is: $20.00 for GU Students; $25.00 for Non-student members, $35.00 for Non-members.

Registration is September 1- November 5, 2009.

There are a limited number of spaces available so please register early. This class will fill up!! Advanced Registration is required.

 Yoga Inversions for Everybody

Are you ready to go heels over head?

Inversions can benefit the body and mind. They stimulate the circulatory, immune, and endocrine systems while increasing concetration and confidence.

Whether you have a seasoned headstand or have  never inverted before, this workshop will deepen your understanding of postures like handstand, forearmstand, headstand, and shoulderstand.

All levels, from beginning to advanced, are welcome to join us and go upside down!
