After working in the field of medical research, she realized how important fitness is not only to build strength and lose weight, but also as a major factor in preventing disease. As a result, she started to develop a passion for fitness.  She took an introductory class on personal training just for her own knowledge and discovered that she truly enjoyed it and continued on to get certified.  She is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a personal trainer and has been an employee of Yates since 2006.  She aspires to begin work on her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in the fall of 2009.
