Intramural Sports

The Intramural sports program at Georgetown University is intended to provide students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends with an opportunity to compete within a framework designed for fun and fitness.  Intramural play should foster a sense of sportsmanship and an atmosphere of teamwork.  Winning is a goal but not an end.

Within that broad framework the Intramural sports department takes a great deal of pride in offering each participant a quality program.  We do our best to provide top quality equipment, well-trained officials and adequate facilities.  This allows each contest to be conducted with the highest degree of professionalism possible.

The Department of Intramural Sports is located on the Main Floor of the Yates Field House.  The office is staffed from 11:00am to 6:00pm on Monday through Thursday, as well as Friday afternoons and some weekend hours.  The Intramural Sports office can be reached by phone at (202) 687-2386 or by e-mail at intramurals@georgetown.edu.

The department is administered by two professional staff and by undergraduate students.
