Adult Group Classes

 Adult Tennis Classes at Yates Field House

All classes enable each player to train and work on their tennis skills in a structured environment with players of similar ability.  Each class has a mininmum of three players and a maximum of six.  If you are unsure of which class to enroll in, please contact Kathleen Collins-Bell.  

 If space available we offer drop in fees in all of our classes except for Monday,Wednesday evening.

Stop by the Main Office of Yates Field House to sign up or give us a call at 202-687-2400.  Refunds must be requestd 24 hours prior to the first class.

 

 June Clinics

Lunchtime Tennis - Intermediate level

Monday and Wednesday's - 12noon- 1pm.  This class is for adults with basic skills or who have taken lessons.  The class reinforces the proper techniques for ground strokes, serve and volley.  This class performs many drills to work on including shot making and court positioning.  It also addresses both singles and doubles strategy.  The last 15 minutes of each class is spent playing games under the pro's supervision. 
Mondays - September 8, 15, 22, 29
Wednesdays - September 10, 17, 24

Adult-Low Intermediate/Intermediate Player. 

Monday and Wednesday evenings, 7:00-8:00pm  This class is for adults who have taken some private or group lessons.  The class focuses on the development of the ground stroke, serve and volleys.  It also emphasizes placement and accuracy of every stroke.  
July 2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, 30

Adult - Intermediate/Advance Player

Monday and Wednesdays evenings, 8-9pm.  Saturdays, 9;00-10:30am. This class is for adults with solid technical skills who are able to be consistent in all shot making.  Different drills are performed to work on form and footwork.  The class works on control and depth on ground strokes, angled volleys and consistent serves.

Saturday Class  - July 5, 12, 19, 26

Beginner/Advanced

Tuesdays evenings, 7:00-8:30pm;       If you have always wanted to play tennis buy never got around to learning, or if you just need to practice your technique this is the class for you!
